You will have seen the news that Angling can resume and as of 7am 8th January 2021  so all waters will re-open for anglers to fish as part of their daily exercise.
Whilst this is a resumption of fishing we would like to echo the message in the Angling Trusts update - “fishing is allowed as exercise so long as participants adhere to the rules on staying local, gathering limits, Social distancing and limiting time outdoors.”
The following rules will be in place

  • No night fishing - Waters will be open 1hr before Sunrise to 1 hour after – Any member found night fishing will have card removed.

  • Please adhere to local Rules and only visit Lymm Waters that are local to yourself.

  • Please continue to practise good hygiene techniques when using locks and gates and sanitising of hands.

  • No sharing of pegs or equipment with anyone outside your household/Bubble.

Additionally we expect all of our members who choose to use angling as exercise, whether that is is travelling to, from or whilst on a venue to uphold both the letter and spirit of the the lockdown laws and regulations. Lymm angling club will bear no responsibility for any member that is found to be in breech of these regulations by law enforcement officials.
We fully support the governments advice to Stay home and protect the NHS and Save Lives.

Lymm Committee.

The club has received  notification that Work Parties in groups up to 15 can continue during lockdown, BUT, just right now the  committee believe just because you can does not mean you should.

The health of Lymm members and the community is our priority and We believe the infection rates locally are too high and we will continue to monitor the situation during lockdown and provide updates when we can.

Members who don't wish to purchase an overstamp and earn hold on purchasing one at this point as we believe there will be scope in time to earn an overstamp before March 15th.
