Match Section



Lymm Angling Club has a growing and popular match section. The club provides opportunities for all members to compete in club matches as well as local, regional and national matches. We welcome all members and value your support. There is  a Summer and Winter series consisting of approximately 6 matches in each series. 

Open To All

All matches are on a Sunday, draw 9.00am, match 10.00 - 3.00. The matches are open to all members wether you enter the series or not, however, with limited spaces on some venues members who've entered into the series take priority then it will be on a first come first served basis. Members who would like to fish a match but not entered the series should book on prior to match day to avoid disappointment and series members who are unable to attend a match should contact the organiser so spaces can be made available.

 

To compete in the series there is a £10.00 entry fee which will be paid out to the top three anglers at the end of the series. The match day pools are £5.00 plus a optional £1.00 Golden Peg, capped at £100.00.

In total there are approximately twelve matches in the series with you're best eight results counting, using eight different club venues with a wide varitey of species to catch and skills needed to win the series. The matches aren't taken too seriously and there's normally plenty of banter involved.

 

Juniors are welcome to fish and as long as they are competent to fish on their own they are welcome to do so, otherwise a parent or guardian should accompany them for the duration of the match. There will be no match fee for under sixteen’s so they will be fishing for the kudos of beating the seniors!!
