Work Parties

Estate maintenance plays an essential part in ensuring the clubs waters are kept to a very high standard. The Estates Team carry out a planned programme of work on a daily basis and are all volunteers. The Estates Maintenance fee of £90.00, referred to as an Overstamp payment, entitles the member to fish designated, premier club waters between 15th March to 15th June inclusive. This can be purchased separately or with the RESTRICTED - Intermediate Including Overstamp, BAND E - Senior Including Overstamp or BAND C - Pensioner Including Overstamp, only pensioners aged over 70 will receive a free Overstamp, this applies to both existing pensioners and future qualifiers.

Overstamp Waters
  • Belmont Estate (All pools on Belmont complex)

  • Belmont Moat & Friars Pool

  • Catch Penny Pool

  • Founders Pool

  • Lymmvale

  • Lymmvale Stock Pond

  • Nunsmere

  • Wrinehill Pool

Tabley Mere closed 15th March – 31st May inclusive. Strictly no fishing or access to the estate during this period. Open to ALL MEMBERS thereafter.

Those choosing not to pay the overstamp fee may still earn an overstamp by completing two, six hour work parties, this then allows the member to fish the premier club waters between 15th March to 15th June inclusive. Members who do not pay for an overstamp or do not complete the two, six hour work parties may not fish the premier club waters during this period but can still fish all other club waters designated as non-overstamp, a full list of all waters can be found here.

Work Party Dates 2024

In 2024, we will limit the number of volunteering members for each work party to 12 members. This will spread the numbers evenly across all venues requiring work. If there is a large uptake for work parties then we will review the upper limit to ensure all the volunteers will have the opportunity to attend and earn their overstamp.

Below are the dates and proposed venues.

Sunday 7th January – Spring Pool

Saturday 13th January – Spring Pool / New Pool

Thursday 18th January – New Pool

Saturday 27th January – New Pool / Farm Pool

Thursday 1st February - Farm Pool

Sunday 10th February – Farm Pool

Sunday 18th February – Hadley Pool

Thursday 22nd February – Hadley Pool

Saturday 2nd March – Lymmvale

Saturday 9th March – Lymmvale

Thursday 14th March – Black Duck

Saturday & Sunday 8th & 9th June – River Severn (Provisional)

The dates are fixed although the venues may change due to weather or a last minute change in circumstances.

Heading west along the M56, leave at junction 10. Follow the A49 towards Whitchurch. Continue along the A49 for approximately 1 mile and take a left turn onto Radell Lane, which is a 100m or so past Grimsditch Lane on the right. Continue along Radell Lane until you come to a row of house and a sharp left bend. At the start of the bend turn right and then after just 50m turn right again at the crossroads onto Village Lane. Drive past the school on the left and a small cemetery on the right. Just after the cemetery, on the right you will find the car park for Whitley Pool.
