WELCOME

 

The club was founded in 1948 and is one of the premier angling clubs in the UK. Based in the Northwest of England the club has a variety of waters that cater for specimen, pleasure and match anglers alike.

 

Whether it's a still water filled with either Carp or mixed coarse fish, a specialist water with a small head of specimen sized fish or a river teaming with Barbel, Grayling, Chub or Trout, Lymm Angling Club has waters for you. The club caters for all ages from juniors through to pensioners. Membership is open to all here and we look forward to seeing you on one of our many magnificent waters soon!

With a large selection of still waters, rivers and canals to cater for all types of angling you'll be spoilt for choice.

WATERS CURRENTLY CLOSED

  • Belmont estate ALL pools closed until further notice whilst work is carried out on the pools inline with the ongoing Belmont Estate improvement project. Want to help? All voluntary work will count towards next years overstamp, register here.

  • Whitley 1 closed until further notice.

  • Whitley 2 withdrawn from our portfolio and no longer available to members.

  • Catch Penny Pool is no longer an overstamp water.

  • Micklewrights cars in the car park limited to 8 cars at anyone time.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING SHAKERLEY MERE GUIDELINES

  • Anyone displaying symptoms of COVID19, or who shares a household with any individual displaying symptoms, should not go fishing and should continue to follow Government advice on isolation.

  • If you have been asked to self-isolate then you should follow the advice given by your GP or NHS 111.

  • Angling to be undertaken in accordance with Government social distancing guidelines - these may change, you must be compliant at all times.

  • Anglers must follow current Government guidance on travel for the benefit of recreational activities.

  • All freshwater anglers must be in possession of the relevant EA Fishing licence.No sharing of fishing positions (swims) except by members of the same household.

  • No sharing of fishing tackle or any other items.

  • No angler to fish within 15 metres of any other angler.

  • No keepnets or competition fishing.

  • Online and electronic day ticket payments to be made wherever possible.

  • Onsite shared facilities such as cafes and clubhouses to remain closed.

  • Fisheries unable to adhere to these guidelines should remain closed until further notice.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

2020 memberships available here until 30th August 2020

Due to an unpresidented demand throughout the year the club will be closing the book on our 2020 Senior, Pensioner and Concessionary memberships (Still/Lake waters) on SUNDAY 30th August. Sales of Rivers and Canals memberships, day tickets, bait boat licences etc will continue as normal until 30th November 2020. Applications after this date will be placed onto a waiting list for the 2021 season.
